Group Piano Lessons

Piano

Our group piano lessons are a modern alternative to traditional piano study. Also known as rotating lesson, lessons groups are 3-4 students. With everyone at their own digital piano, there is plenty of time for playing together as a group as well as one-on-one instruction each lesson. Students who learn quickly will not be held back, and students that need a little more time on a concept will get it! Students have opportunities to teach their younger, or newer friends, and play music theory games, all while learning technique and theory with the best of 'em.

Each weekly lesson lasts for one hour, which gives all the students the time they need to learn new songs and concepts, AND time to practice (using headphones). Students head home each week with the notes in their pieces already learned, which makes at-home practice a lot more productive!

Prerequisite: Beginners must be able to read fluently and follow instructions. If students cannot read yet, they may begin in our beginner private classes and move to our group cohorts when ready.

Our small group environment of 3-4 students provides ample opportunity for group learning and individual support. Students gain knowledge in instrumental technique, musical knowledge, and musical skills, all while maturing personally and educationally. Music classes accelerate cognitive development, give kids and teens a creative outlet, and the opportunity to forge friendships with music-loving peers from across Chicagoland.
